Emergency Clinics and Specialists
The following is a list of emergency clinics we have had positive experiences with.
Emergency clinics are staffed by rotation, so an experienced rabbit specialist may not be on duty when your rabbit becomes ill. Should your rabbit need emergency care, we recommend that you phone first. Describe your rabbit's symptoms to the veterinarian and ask if he/she is comfortable evaluating and treating your bunny.
Please keep in mind that the treatment for extreme emergencies (heat exhaustion, dog attacks, lacerations, poisoning) is similar no matter what the animal. In these cases, taking your rabbit to the closest clinic will save valuable time.
* We highly recommend Dr. Graham and CVT Lauren Blais for the excellent care they provide critically ill rabbits. Dr. Graham also sees rabbits with special medical problems by referral.
